Process of continuous improvement. Small improvements applied often (daily) as they are found. Usually generated and applied by the people closest to where the improvement will be made. Opposite of Western traditional ‘Command and Control’ as is not, usually, driven from the centre. Centre only gets involved for Kaizen that will cross organisational boundaries.
Change management (where it exists) carries out co-ordination, if required, rather than it's traditional barrier/gatekeeper role.
